Following an exhilarating expedition to Nashville in May, where he collaborated on an extraordinary EP with the likes of Jack Lawrence (known for his work with Jack White, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather) and Andrija Tokic (Grammy-nominated producer of Alabama Shakes), Indolore is back on home turf to pay tribute to his city, Paris. He does this by releasing a new single that straddles the line between eternal youth and a flash of wisdom, aptly titled “Way Home.” This melodic gem is set to hit the airwaves on October 13.
“Way Home” serves as the inaugural single from Indolore’s forthcoming EP, “Paris,” slated for release by the year’s end. With a burgeoning saxophone career, he later pursued formal education in music, earning a Higher National Diploma (HND) in music at Glasgow Clyde College.In 2020, Matthew furthered his musical education at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted his traditional sources of income. As the pandemic waned, he embraced the Ibiza sax trend, collaborating with DJs in clubs, at weddings, and functions to rekindle his livelihood.
Now, having completed his formal education, Matthew Ruddy is venturing into uncharted territory. With a newfound passion for songwriting and singing, he’s gearing up to release an album that encapsulates the knowledge and experiences he’s gathered throughout his musical journey. This forthcoming album promises to be a genre-defining collection, a testament to Matthew’s evolution as a multi-talented musician seeking to leave his indelible mark on the world of music.
