The hunger for releasing music drives Sebastian Clarin’s creative spirit. After the release of ‘Aerial Cuts’ last fall, he wastes no time in delivering a rawer and more direct electropop gem. Brace yourselves for a summer anthem that will ignite the darker dance floors with its infectious energy.

Sebastian Clarin

Clarins’ musical journey draws inspiration from the singer-songwriter traditions of legends like Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen, yet his soundscape takes a contrasting direction. Through grandiose electronic soundscapes, captivating melodies, and raw dance beats, he molds a unique blend of modern new wave and electronic pop. His music effortlessly fuses elements from the ’80s, ’90s, and the present.

‘Tongue Particles’ is a single that transcends boundaries, exploring the theme of sexual submission and the allure of surrendering to an intoxicating power. Clarin shares, “The writing of this song began during heavy fever chills. Something mysterious happens when you have 40 degrees Celsius in your body… You become like a vampire’s victim who finally begs to be bitten.”

The new single is produced by Tobias Isaksson from The Future Sound of Stockholm, who artfully captures Clarin’s artistic vision, enhancing it with rich layers of analog synths.

Sebastian Clarin’s debut album, ‘Aerial Cuts,’ featuring the successful singles ‘Aries,’ ‘Teeth (Cyanides),’ and ‘High Blood Treasure,’ propelled him into the spotlight, garnering attention from international bloggers and solidifying his presence in the Swedish and Scandinavian music scenes. The album, developed over several years in collaboration with former techno producer Henrik B., solidified Clarin’s reputation as a rising talent.

Hailing from Milwaukee, The Pulltops are a dynamic duo with a rich musical history that dates back to their early days in high school cover bands. Both accomplished singers, multi-instrumentalists, and avid record collectors, their diverse tastes have played a significant role in shaping their collaborative songwriting style. As staunch independents, they have taken charge of recording and producing their own music for the past two decades.

The Pulltops

Their latest single, “Stronger,” serves as a personal daily affirmation. Battling insecurities and the constant struggle of Imposter Syndrome, the duo infused these themes of overcoming into the lyrics of this dark alt-rock track. Featuring a compelling combination of a droning bassline, arpeggiated guitars, and lush synth pads, the song seamlessly blends modern production with nostalgic sounds.

“Stronger” is the third release from their ambitious plan to unveil 20 songs over the next two years.

The Pulltops, a Milwaukee-based duo, skillfully meld Indie Rock, Power Pop, and Album Rock into a catchy and infectious sound. Drummer Mark Pierret and guitarist Tom Crowell, both avid collectors of diverse music, discovered an immediate connection when they first played together. While Mark gravitated towards the realms of old country and soul, Tom drew inspiration from the experimental and underground scenes. However, they found common ground in their shared love for pop music and strong hooks, which became the driving force behind their songwriting. Their music, although rooted in classic pop and indie rock, incorporates elements from their eclectic influences, creating a unique sonic blend.

Their latest single, “Stronger,” is a powerful testament to inner strength, transcending the shackles of Imposter Syndrome. Addressing the paralyzing effects of self-doubt, the song serves as a guiding light towards a more positive mindset. The Pulltops’ signature indie rock sound shines through, combining introspective lyrics with captivating melodies and a dynamic musical arrangement.

Stay tuned for more captivating releases as The Pulltops continue to share their musical journey, pouring their hearts and souls into their craft.

In a surprising twist, the dynamic duo of 9 o’clock Nasty and I Am The Unicorn Head have once again come together to create an undeniable anthem for the Summer.

We’ve all had those moments, haven’t we? When a questionable choice of pizza topping leads to introducing your own mother to a squid, and suddenly the universe aligns in the most peculiar way, followed swiftly by a wave of stomach-churning regret.

The summer of 2023 didn’t necessarily request a psychedelic masterpiece, nor did it specifically demand the oddest song ever recorded by a hybrid of humans and half-humans to become the infectious hit of the season. Yet, as we gradually grasp the concept, life often grants us what we truly deserve rather than what we initially seek.

Combining the raw and unyielding beats crafted by 9 o’clock Nasty with the whimsical and captivating pop melodies from I Am The Unicorn Head, their latest single, aptly titled “DUDE, YOUR MOM’S A SQUID?”, takes listeners on an exhilarating journey. The Unicorn adds a touch of twisted logic, while Nasty injects the pulsating energy required to fuel a summer of unapologetic hedonism.

Whoever said we couldn’t challenge the structures of global capitalism while reveling in the joys of life? It’s time to turn on, tune in, and fully embrace the beautiful chaos that surrounds us.

“DUDE, YOUR MOM’S A SQUID?” will be available for streaming on all major platforms and YouTube starting Saturday, June 17th, 2023. For those eager to get a sneak preview, the song’s vibrant and imaginative music video can already be found on YouTube.

This summer, get ready to experience a wave of collaborative brilliance. In July, 9 o’clock Nasty will join forces with the mischievous pranksters of Brighton known as “The Qwarks” for a two-part Pocket Opera. But fear not, for normal service will resume in September with the release of a brand-new single. And brace yourselves, as we prepare to unleash the unbridled mayhem of our highly anticipated third LP, “Cultural Revolution 2023,” set to shake the very foundations of musical conventions this autumn. Or at least, that’s our fervent hope.
