call-and- response traditions of the Black diaspora. Released during Black History Month in the
United States, it pays homage to
West African and Caribbean folklore through a contemporary reimagining of Anansi the Spider – the legendary trickster and keeper
of stories. Inspired by American Gods and the layered realities of modern life, NEONE delivers
sharp lyricism, rhythm and wit,
bridging ancestral mythology with present-day cultural and political narratives. The result is a track that feels both timeless and
