Our life Dreams are often compromised by us, drifting away with others. Choosing wrong relationships that cause us to leave our dreams, the interruption of studies or a career with a pregnancy or even we like the looks or see another’s dream and try to chase it – but it is not who we are. It’s not who we were created to be.
Laying on the grass near a lake as my son’s sailed a small boat, watching clouds drifting by, I wondered about times in my life where I ran from my own dreams or chased fantasies of others. I thought of the many I have seen do this and those who I have met and say that they feel bored, lost or are dying inside.
And in an instant a yellow Volkswagen drives by – and this song was birthed. I thought to myself life becomes hypothetical when we chase others dreams, fantasies and not fulfil our inner dreams.
This song explores this and gives the listener permission to follow their own dreams again.
