PSYCHEDELIKA Pt.1 isn’t just a record—it’s an invitation into a universe The New Citizen Kane has been quietly building in the shadows. The first half of a two-part era, this 17-track project stretches across philosophy, nightlife, anxiety, love, and creative rebirth, delivered with a mix of swagger, surrealism, and emotional honesty. The journey begins with “Here, Now,” a grounding opener that feels like stepping into a darkened theatre just as the lights shift. “My Muse” follows with bruised tenderness, exploring the kind of inspiration that stings as much as it comforts. “Heads Are Round” twists Picabia’s idea into a dizzy, neon-lit spiral of thoughts—playful, chaotic, and strangely liberating.

“San Diego (Album Version)” adds warmth to the palette, a loose and sun-soaked memory tucked between heavier moments. “Eyes Wide Shut” pulls the mood back inward, stylishly tense and cinematic. The energy becomes more experimental on “Subconscious (Primordial Radio Mix),” where the production bends like light through a prism. There’s a sudden spark of attitude in “Well, Damn! Here You Are,” the kind of track that strides into the room with a smirk. “Whispering Tango” shifts into smoky, late-night elegance—slow, slinking, and hypnotic. “Push the Fear Out” feels like a breath of resilience, while “Bite the Bullet” swings harder, urging a push through internal static.

“As Within So Without” digs into introspection with spiritual undertones, creating one of the album’s most contemplative moments. Things loosen again on “It’s Saturday & I’m High,” a hazy snapshot of weekend escapism, before “Café Life” settles into a calmer, street-corner groove. “Ratbag Joy” hides emotional grit beneath a euphoric beat—darkness wrapped in candy coating. Everything finally dissolves into “Afterglow,” a reflective, softly glowing closing note that lingers long after the music fades. PSYCHEDELIKA Pt.1 isn’t built for passive listening. It’s textured, shapeshifting, and deeply personal—an album designed to be lived with, explored, and revisited. With Part 2 on the horizon and a companion app expanding the world even further, The New Citizen Kane isn’t just releasing music. He’s building an entire ecosystem, and this is only the first portal in.
