Fabrice Duval’s music project, SkyCall, has released a new single named “Are You Ready Now?” This song combines classic rock from the 1970s with modern elements, taking listeners on a mind-bending trip. Even though the band broke up in 2023, Duval, a psychiatrist by day and musician by night, is still making music and working on a full album, keeping the SkyCall spirit alive. Fabrice Duval and Luc Erwin, former members of Tax-Free, founded SkyCall in 2019. In 2021, Amanda S. became the band’s new drummer, replacing Didier Hoffmann. Even though the band members went their separate ways, Duval’s love for music is still strong, and he continues to make music.
Fabrice Duval wrote, arranged, and performed the song “Are You Ready Now?” himself, singing and playing all the instruments. Alexandros Chrysidis finalized the song at a studio in Athens, Greece. The song revolves around a man’s obsession with a female gamer, who is elusive and conceals her true identity. Her mysterious personality teases her fans, drawing the man into her game. The official release of “Are You Ready Now?” was occured on August 18, 2024, marking the 55th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s legendary performance at Woodstock. To honor this moment in rock music history, the song’s final guitar solo is a tribute to Jimi Hendrix’s legendary playing style.
In the US, CMI Radio loved the song “Are You Ready Now?” and said it gave them chills. They thought the guitar playing sounded amazing, like a classic rock song. They were very impressed. CMI Radio’s special show for independent artists will play the song every Saturday for 30 days, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM CST. SkyCall’s music journey continues, and the song “Are You Ready Now?” shows that Fabrice Duval is still a talented musician who works hard at his craft.
