A long time ago, in a small town in Germany called Chemnitz, there was a student band named “Labi Rance”. They played music in small venues and recorded some of their songs on a simple tape recorder. All that remains of the band are these old recordings, as the band members parted ways and stopped performing together after 1995. Twenty-five years later, Christopher Labi Rance started making music again. In 2020, he began learning to use new music recording equipment at home, even though he needed to improve with technology. His first tries were not great, but he loved making music again. Since then, Christopher has spent much of his free time getting better at recording music. He knows he won’t become a professional but likes doing it and keeps making new songs.
Even though the original band, “Labi Rance”, will never play together again, Christopher is now making music with the band’s old drummer, Geoffrey M. Svalbard. They enjoy performing with other musicians, such as Michael Engels and Silke Natho. “SYLVATIC BLACK” is an exciting project they collaborated on, featuring a singer named Miriam de Silva.
Christopher and his fellow musicians appreciate music fans’ kind words and support on a global scale. They are delighted when people leave thoughtful comments and click “like” on their music videos on YouTube, Facebook, and other websites. Knowing that others enjoy their music makes them feel optimistic. If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to contact them. Now living in Filipstad, Sweden, Christopher is still making music and sharing it with people everywhere. He wants to keep sharing his love of music with the world.
