Maya’s Radio Orchestra Releases New Single “Suntrap”

Maya’s Radio Orchestra, a Glasgow-based singer-songwriter, harpist, pianist, and violinist, has released her new tune “Suntrap.” The song is a feel-good song about finding joy in the little things in life.

Maya

Maya wrote “Suntrap” during a very dismal and dreary winter in Glasgow. She was depressed and recognized that capitalism and the drive to be productive were irreconcilable with human nature. The song is about celebrating mankind and finding joy in the little things in life. With sweeping strings, whirling harps, and honey-like voices, the tune evokes dusty basement jazz clubs. It’s easy jazz with classical and triphop influences. Producer Lauren Gilmour’s shimmering whispers of synthesizers interrupt the extended jazz ensemble, while languid percussion evocative of Portishead or Zero 7 keep us in a dreamy daze.

The upbeat tune “Suntrap” is one the best songs i have i ever heard.  It’s a celebration of mankind and enjoying life’s little pleasures.
