Emerging as a force to be reckoned with in the R&B genre, singer-songwriter HeIsTheArtist unveils a soul-stirring cover of Whitney Houston’s timeless hit, “I Believe in You and Me.” This captivating rendition is part of his highly anticipated EP, “Dreaming in Emerald City,” which takes inspiration from the iconic films “The Wizard of Oz” and “West Side Story.”

“Dreaming in Emerald City” is a masterful blend of Broadway-style vocals and contemporary Neo-Soul elements, showcasing HeIsTheArtist’s artistic versatility. The EP opens with a heartfelt tribute to Judy Garland’s “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows,” immersing listeners in the enchanting world of “The Wizard of Oz.” The following track, “Mi Amor,” an original composition by HeIsTheArtist, sets the stage for empathy and understanding, echoing the EP’s underlying theme of longing for a different reality.

Continuing to explore the depths of love and self-acceptance, HeIsTheArtist delivers two captivating covers. “Lovin’ You,” originally performed by Minnie Riperton, reminds us to find love right where we are, even amidst challenges and outside opinions. Meanwhile, the rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Believe in You and Me” emphasizes the power of love in overcoming obstacles and societal expectations.

The EP concludes with two empowering tracks: a soulful interpretation of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and a compelling cover of India.Arie’s “Brown Skin.” These songs celebrate the beauty of self-love, disregarding society’s narrow definition of what constitutes the “ideal” image.

Marking a significant milestone in HeIsTheArtist’s career, “Dreaming in Emerald City” is set to make its debut on July 28th, coinciding with the Islamic holiday Ashura. This auspicious date commemorates Moses parting the Red Sea and symbolizes the journey of returning “Home,” mirroring the EP’s overarching theme of finding solace and belonging.

Prepare to be transported into a world of musical enchantment as HeIsTheArtist’s EP, “Dreaming in Emerald City,” delivers a tapestry of emotions, melodies, and powerful narratives that resonate with listeners on a profound level.
