(Paris/Kingston/Fort-de-France) – Following the success of his EP MEK ME GWAAN, released in May 2024, the French-Caribbean artist Bhy2r is back with a powerful new track. He unveils the video for “WANT TO BE LOVED,” the fourth single from the EP, in collaboration with a living legend of Jamaican music: saxophonist Dean Fraser.

This track, a true musical bridge between Martinique and Jamaica, is also a taste of his upcoming ambitious project: the live album Lion’s Love.

A Unique Sound: The “Franco-Caribbean Vibe”

Bhy2r doesn’t just make music, he builds connections. His world is a melting pot where Caribbean grooves (dancehall, zouk, bouyon) meet soul and contemporary R&B. On “WANT TO BE LOVED,” his warm, languid voice is carried by the powerful and iconic vocals of Dean Fraser (known for his work with Dennis Brown, Buju Banton, and Sizzla). The result is a timeless, sensual track that grooves and touches the soul.

The visually rich music video showcases this cultural encounter and promises to transport viewers from the beaches of Martinique to the vibrant streets of Kingston.

The Artist: An Ambassador Seeking Connections

Based in Martinique, Bhy2r is more than just an artist: he is a living bridge between France, the Caribbean, and the English-speaking world. His catalog is designed for the stage. He’s not just looking for airplay; he wants to export his show.

Drawing on his extensive stage experience, Bhy2r performs with his Matrxx Band, a powerful live group that recreates the raw energy of his productions in concert. To conquer international stages, he is also ready to adapt with smaller lineups, surrounding himself with local professional musicians to offer an authentic and engaging experience.
