Josh Jensen, a musician from Seattle, has released a new song called “Wanderlust Highway”. It mixes folk and rock music with a robust acoustic sound. Josh has a sweet voice and writes meaningful lyrics. His new song encourages people to be adventurous and go on a journey, exploring new places and experiencing new things. Famous country singers like Hank Williams and Patsy Kline inspired Josh Jensen to start making music in eastern Washington. He began performing with his family and later created his own music groups. In 2000, he made his first professional album in Seattle with the help of producer Gary Mula.
Josh Jensen’s music has changed over time. He started with pop-punk but then tried many different styles. He became proficient at guitar playing and tried many techniques, from soft folk to loud grunge. In college, he started a band called Cadre that mixed funk and progressive music. His band released an album in 2007. Later, he joined another band called Sweet Beets, which played funk music in Bellingham. Josh Jensen started his solo music career with his first album, “Unravel the Wire”, in 2012. He recorded it at the Columbia City Theater. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he wrote and recorded his second album, “Moon Time”, in 2022. He worked on this album with Matthew O’Toole, who played the mandolin, and his daughter, Coralie.
Josh Jensen wrote “Wanderlust Highway” at home and recorded it with producer Luke Rain. Jensen played guitar and keyboard and sang, while Alex Capron added saxophone. Luke Rain played drums and bass. The song has a bluesy feel with soulful guitar and warm organ sounds, and a lucky keyboard solo adds to the mood. Josh Jensen wants “Wanderlust Highway” to be a popular song for summer road trips, inspiring people to go on adventures. He hopes the song’s meaningful lyrics and excellent music make it a fan favourite.
