The shimmering heart of an “imperfect ruby” beats at the center of Kuruvinda—a ten-track, harp-driven journey from GRAMMY® nominee Kirsten Agresta Copely that honors the beauty of imperfection, transformation, and the quiet power of authenticity. Following the ethereal calm of Aquamarine, Kuruvinda dives deeper—trading serenity for shadow and light in a collection that invites listeners to reflect on where they’ve been, and who they’ve become. Composed in the wake of personal loss, each piece reveals another facet of that symbolic gem—guiding the listener from vulnerability to clarity. With a full spectrum of emotion and grace, Copely’s harp speaks to anyone who has weathered life’s shifting tides and emerged with a deeper sense of self.

“This album emerged from a time of deep introspection, when I reflected on the quiet power of authenticity over perfection,” says Copely. “Kuruvinda is my way of honoring the tender places we usually try to hide—and creating a space where flaws feel not only accepted, but beautiful.”

Across ten meditative compositions, Copely unleashes the harp’s full dynamic range—from thunderous, resonant lows to delicate, breath-like highs—creating soundscapes that invite deep listening. Grounded in mindfulness and stillness, every note is intentional, as steady and luminous as the heartbeat of someone who has made peace with their own story. Produced by Marc Copely and Mia Moravis, the record was crafted without synthesizers or keyboards—ensuring that every organic vibration remains front and center. The result is an immersive, restorative experience—perfect for sunrise journaling, twilight reflection, or a solitary drive when you finally see your reflection and recognize the wisdom within.

Copely’s remarkable career has unfolded like a masterclass in artistic evolution: three solo recitals at Carnegie Hall, a Lincoln Center debut, performances for President Barack Obama and Queen Rania, and collaborations with artists like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Enya, and The Who. Her harp work has appeared in Sex and the City 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and numerous other soundtracks. A former associate professor at Vanderbilt University and Recording Academy voting member, she now mentors emerging musicians while continuing to chart her own ever-evolving creative path. Her discography—Dream World (2001), The Covers Album (2019), the Global Music Award–winning Around the Sun (2020), and GRAMMY-nominated Aquamarine (2023)—has garnered more than 12 million streams and regular SiriusXM Spa airplay, demonstrating the harp’s enduring resonance in contemporary music.
