‘LeAlbum’ serves as LeSabre’s debut album but functions primarily as a powerful showcase of the band’s keen instincts and untamed energy. The album showcases that creative music production can happen outside traditional studio spaces through the unconventional recording process between drummer Jeremy Nardozzi’s and vocalist Daniel J. McLean’s homes using modern tools like an iPad Pro, GarageBand, and Logic Pro. J. Robbins managed the mixing process and Daniel J. McLean handled mastering which allowed the band to produce a powerful set of songs that showcase their inspirations and establish their unique sound. The four-piece band based in Gloucester, VA approaches each song with total commitment and combines Soundgarden’s toughness with the sharpness of QOTSA and the cool confidence of the Chili Peppers.

The album begins with the forceful track “The Fever”, marked by its sharp guitar sounds and McLean’s lively singing. A more hypnotic groove characterizes “The Circling” before listeners encounter “The Black Sheep” which directs the energy inward through dark basslines and haunting melodies. “The Highness” impresses with its rhythmic variations and heavy riffs while “The Abyss” gradually builds tension through spaced-out elements before transitioning to more intense sounds. Jeremy’s drumming takes command of the aggressive and wild nature of “The Wolf”, which delivers exactly what its name conveys. The song “The Illusion” implements unexpected structural changes which produce an unsettled atmosphere resembling a live performance. With “The Skeletons” playing, the band reaches peak performance showcasing their tightness, volume and raw honesty.

Near the close, “The Ferryman” slows things down just enough to let the weight of the album settle in, before “The Light” arrives as the only collaborative track. Micah Foxx’s presence in the song introduces a softer variation to the overall texture while maintaining its core characteristics of grit and precision. The concluding track showcases LeSabre’s willingness to explore new musical territory. ‘LeAlbum’ stays straightforward and authentic through its loud sound and direct impact without any complex production. This band’s first full-length album is just the beginning for rock enthusiasts who should watch for their upcoming work.
